Although I did not realize it for a number of years, I was destined to be in education. I went through many career choices before landing in the teaching profession, including but not limited to architecture, pharmacy, optometry, accounting, and law. My mother's family has a long line of educators and administrators, and they continually informed me that education would be the perfect fit for me. After spending a short year in accounting, I realized that my family might be right and I entered the MAT program at Pacific University in Oregon. I haven't looked back since. Upon completing the program, I returned to my home town to teach middle school math and language arts. Teaching alongside my mentors and former teachers was an opportunity I will always cherish. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership and Instructional Leadership, and I hope to help enrich the already phenomenal program here at Vision in both a teaching and administrative capacity. Looking into the upcoming year with Vision Charter School, I am excited to be immersed in this unique culture and high achievement. I am anxious to meet each and every parent, student, and friend of Vision and share in this experience together.
