Erica Collins
7th, 8th & 9th Pre-Algebra 1, Principles of Algebra and Geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 1A, Geometry & Social Studies

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Erica Collins. I received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University and a Master’s in The Art of Teaching from Grand Canyon University.
In 1995, I became a Discovery Math Teacher. The courses I took focused on exploring mathematics in a non-traditional fashion and how inquiry can be used to provide more effective instruction. I have been teaching since 1992 with the majority of the time as a middle school math teacher. I am very enthusiastic about math and my passion for the subject is passed on to my students.
I recently moved to Star, Idaho with my husband, Guy and three sons, Ty, Dax and Nate. We have been enjoying the outdoor life and beauty of Idaho. I love to travel. My favorite trips are ones that involve water, especially the ocean. I also like to ride my bike, read a good book, hike, ski, sketch, play board games and spend time with family. I am looking forward to teaching at Vision Charter School and anxiously await the start of the school year!
