IN THE EVENT OF SCHOOL CLOSURE, EARLY RELEASE, OR LATE START:

 In the event it becomes necessary to cancel school, have a late start, or an early release, we will place updated information on our website at visioncharterschool.net, our Facebook page,  and will also be sent out via our newsletter. You may also check updates on Channels 2, 12, 6, and 7.  

We are aware that many families are traveling a long distance daily to get to VCS.  In the event of snow and ice, we prefer that you and your family come late to school and be safe than rush to avoid a tardy and potentially encounter dangerous traffic situations. Therefore, we will not count your child absent as long as they are at school NO LATER than 11 a.m. daily. Tardies will always be excused during bad weather days. This grace period only applies on bad weather days.  Your safety is our first priority!  (Your child will still be responsible to make up missed work in a timely manner.)   If you have ordered hot lunches, do not forget to call in by 8:30 if you will be tardy – otherwise we will cancel your lunch.
