After School Pick-up Guidelines
- School dismisses at 3:00 p.m.
- Children will not be released to parents through the gate before 3:00 p.m..
- When parents begin arriving for pickup, they should park their cars (on the school side of the street only) facing south.
- The first car should be even with the gate. Everyone else should be in line turning down Colville.
- Once all pickup students are gathered in the gravel area, they will be directed to get in “family groups”, which will include all children going home together.
- The first car in line will be asked for the family name, and those children will be asked to step forward. Once they are safely in their car, the next car will pull up and the process will continue.
- Once we start putting kids in cars, it should take only a matter of minutes to get everyone on their way! This will lead to more order, better management of traffic, and a safer environment for the children.
With this in mind, please respect the following guidelines
- Due to bus traffic, please do not stop or park on Lolo Avenue. If you must park, pull onto Challis.
- Do not pull up on the opposing side of Willamette. We will not allow students to cross the street, due to traffic congestion and bus traffic. It simply is not safe.
- Please stay in your cars. This process will only work if we are all doing the same thing.
