BIG WINNERS AT VCS!
Idahoans for Choice in Education has announced the winners of the 2009 essay contest. Essays were received from 334 Idaho charter school students, representing nearly 2/3 of Idaho’s charter schools. Essays entitled “Why Education Choice is Important to Me and My Family” were to be 600 words or less. Mickaila Rigby, 9th grade, Vision Charter School, Caldwell took Second Place in the Junior Division winning $300.
These essays posted on the Committee’s website will also be made available to members of the Idaho Legislature, State Department of Education, and the Charter School Commission. Also,
Forest Products Week Essay Contest 2009
Sponsored by the Idaho Forest Products Commission
Maya Dial, Honorable Mention, Vision Charter School, Caldwell. Becky Mitchell, Teacher Maya received a special certificate and a book, and her essay was posted on the website . Her teacher received a voucher to attend a Project Learning Tree workshop, a book, posters, and other resources.
Monday February 1st, at 3:15pm is the PFA meeting. It will be held in Kindergarten (C-1)
Thursday, February 25, 2010 is the Cultural Art Fair at VCS!
